The abbreviation LLT stands for the Lost Lennon Tapes, in both the radio series and the Bag bootlegs derived from it.

"8 Arms ID"s refer to entries in Chip Madinger and Mark Easter's book Eight Arms To hold You: The Solo Beatles Compendium, and are given in the form "p.X, #Y[.Z]:a.1", where X is a page in the book, Y is an entry number, and Z stands for an optional sub-entry (not numbered in the book); after the colon is an identifier for a take/version. Thus, readers equipped with that work can easily make cross-references to it and more readily identify the recordings in question. In cases where no individual identifier is given in 8 Arms but the item is discussed in the text, a reference to the song entry under which the recording is mentioned has been supplied.

"LLT program XX-YY" in the source notes refers to transcription disc for program XX-YY of the Lost Lennon Tapes radio series, XX being the year and YY the broadcast week. For bootleg discs sourced from the shows, the broadcast week of the episode has been given in brackets; "tape" means that the bootleg was taken directly a tape source.

The following bootlegs were used in compiling the set:
