A & M REHEARSALS
10/73
THE JESSE ED DAVIS REHEARSAL TAPES
Disc One features
what will now be known as "The Jesse Ed Davis Tapes"
First off, we get the first ever tape to CD transfer of the
earliest known rehearsals done at A&M Studios in October of
1973, with a very drunken John.
Then we have the first ever Tape to CD Transfer of the Famous
October 1974 rehearsals. These rehearsals have long been thought
to have been recorded at The Record Plant, but were actually
taped at Morris Levy's Barn in upstate New York with John and the
same set of musicians that played on Wall and Bridges. These
Rehearsals are taken from the Original cassettes and are many
generations above any previous issue!

"DJ WINSTON O'
BOOGIE" PLAYS THE ROOTS OF ROCK 'N' ROLL!
Disc Three
incorporates a new way to listen to the Roots album. The songs
are intertwined by an early (Stereo!) 1975 interview with
John talking and introducing each of the Rock 'N' Roll tracks,
only we swapped these for the more obscure Roots Versions. The
Roots tracks have now been taken from a Rare and
Restored 8 track tape. With the Listener in mind, we have made it possible
to program your CD player to play only the Roots tracks or just
the John Interview.
NOTE: ALL SONGS ARE THE ORIGINAL ROOTS VERSIONS!
NOTE: ALL ROOTS SONGS OR INTERVIEW CAN BE
PROGRAMMED TO PLAY SEPARATELY
