The fact this CD is named 'I Am Your Singer' makes no sense to me. It's not really
the best track and certainly not the most peculiar. The people from Goblin Records
(Australia) who digitalized the same tape called their product 'Cottonfields'
because it's this song that was never before and again performed by Paul and
Wings.
Although this disc is very short I still like to recommend it to McCartney fans
because it's the only soundboard source for a (part of a) concert from the
1972 Wings European Tour.
And...it's nice to listen to. You can hear Wings playing songs they have not rehearsed
very thorough. Sometimes instruments and voices are out of tune but they seem
to enjoy themselves very much.
Antwerp was one of the places where the audience
didn't boo Linda when she began to sing, in fact the people applauded when Paul
announced her. A funny moment in the show occurs when Paul tries to address the
audience in their native language, quite difficult when you're in Belgium,
saying: "Maintenant Denny Laine spielt vor euch..."
