| Liner notes: This recently discovered tape features John and the Elephant's Memory Band rehearsing for their upcoming "One To One" benefit concert. Only a few years earlier Lennon was running through some of these oldies with the Beatles during the Get Back sessions. These classic songs from his childhood remained constant throughout his entire performing career. The track "Honky Tonk" begins the August 22 session. It is during this track along with the "Don't Be Cruel/Hound Dog" medley that listeners are given an unusual insight into the Lennon/Ono relationship. The couple seem especially tense during the session and John's usually unending patience and interest in Yoko's performing style seems to be blatantly absent. In any event the band lend an incredible power to Yoko's material and the Jam from August 21 proves itself, along with the group's vamping on "Caribbean", to be a musical high point on the disc.
