In 1981 Barrett found out he had cancer and needed to occupy his time while undergoing treatment. He was told he could go through the vaults to find out which unreleased Beatles recordings were there. Of the more interesting stuff Barrett made cassette dubs for his own use. Long after Barrett's death these have found their way to 'the public' and here they are. Some of the tracks found here are not (yet) released on any bootleg label.
